Clean Sport

Protecting the integrity of play and the health of our athletes

All athletes have the right to compete in a doping-free environment. The Kyrgyz Republic Ice Hockey Federation (FHCR) adheres to the principles of Clean Sport and works in close partnership with the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) to ensure that every match is fair.

Our position
The Kyrgyz Ice Hockey Federation has officially adopted the Anti-Doping Rules that comply with the World Anti-Doping Code. These rules are mandatory for everyone: players (national teams and clubs), coaches, doctors and administrative staff.

The main principle: An athlete bears full and sole responsibility for any prohibited substance found in his body, regardless of how it got there or whether the intent was to deceive him.

Key information for players and staff

1. The Prohibited List

WADA annually updates the list of substances and methods that are prohibited in sports. The changes usually take effect on January 1 each year.

2. Checking Medications
Before taking any drug — whether it's a prescription drug from a doctor or a common cold remedy from a pharmacy — you must check it for illegal substances.

Global DRO — a convenient international service for instantly checking the composition of drugs.

3. Sports supplements and dietary supplements
The Federation recommends a “Food First” approach. Remember: no dietary supplement manufacturer can guarantee the absence of traces of doping. The use of supplements is always at the athlete's risk.

4. Therapeutic use (TUE)
If you need to take a prohibited drug for health reasons, you must apply for a therapeutic use permit (TUE) in advance.

Learn more about the TUE procedure on the IIHF website

Education and resources
We believe that prevention through education is the best way to protect ourselves.

ADEL Platform (WADA) — interactive courses for hockey players of all levels. Complete the training and get a certificate.

Protect your sport (Speak Up!)
If you become aware of doping, coercion, or other abuse, we encourage you to report it. We guarantee full confidentiality.
